Fun with lasers...
Eddie had no clue what was going on, but Duke was on a mission to get the red dot...whatever it was.

People pay good money to learn how to get into these positions. Not to mention the time it takes your body to bend in those angles. Duke has mastered that at 9 weeks old!
Nothing makes you forget about a bad day at work like your puppies greeting you when you get home.
The best time to capture close-ups of puppies is while they're sleeping. Since puppies do alot of that, it gives me a change to really zoom in on them without worrying about them moving and changing the shot. Kinda makes you wanna lay down and take a nap yourself, huh!
Duke & Eddie got a new blanket for their house. So clean and cozy looking, huh! They like it!
I took them out in the backyard again today since they don't have all their shots and it's not yet safe for them to walk around the neighborhood just yet. Since they're cooped up in their pen all day when we're at work, it's nice for them to stretch out and soak up some sun.
We gave Spike & Rusty their new toys today....a red ball, a yellow squeaky ball & a fluffy squeak bone. Their favorite was the white dish towel they found on the floor.
Spike & Rusty made it through the long drive from LA to HB. At first they were whining a little, but by the time I got on the freeway, they were fast asleep. I just hoped that they wouldn't get car sick during the long drive or have the urge to pee or poop!
Today was the day! I went to pick Spike & Rusty up today and met all the other puppies that they lived with. It was so cute to see all of them running around and playing with each other. If I could, I probably would have taken all of them home!
They called us back today and said that they reviewed our application and that we were approved to adopt! I was so excited to hear that! I get to pick them up tomorrow afternoon and finally take them home! I can't wait!
Today is the day we get to check out the puppies! I called the rescue agency a couple days ago and they said that they were having an "adoption day" at a pet store in LA, so we made the trek out there.
Here's another one that they have available! He's a cutie too! His name is Rusty. Decisions, decisions.
Here's a picture that was sent by the rescue agency. These are 3 of the options that we'll have for adoption. 1 girl (pink collar) and 2 boys (red collars). They're so cute I want to just adopt them all!
We made the decision to adopt poi dogs. In Hawaii, a poi dog is a type of mutt that you would find roaming the streets. Now it's commonly used to describe mixed breeds or mutts.
We decided to look for 2 dogs instead of 1 in order for them to keep each other company and so we won't end up having one of those "separation anxiety" dogs that you always read about. =)
We were looking for any type of lab mix, since those were one of our favorite breeds. I just started calling the rescue agencies and local pounds from the website to see what kind of puppies they had. I finally found one rescue agency that just recently aquired a litter of puppies.
I've always had dogs in my life, so when I finally moved away from home and bought my own place it felt like something was missing. Me & V talked about getting puppies and we both wanted the same type of dog, so I started doing my research. I came across this website and started looking for the types that are availible.
