Jumping for junk food...

We had some leftover fries from lunch, so the 2 boys got a treat. But of course we made them work for it first.

Eating disorders...

Eddie does this weird thing with his food when he eats. He'll scoop up a bunch of dry dog food from the bowl and into his mouth, then he empties his mouth leaving scattered kibbles n' bits on the ground. It's so strange, I don't remember the last time he ate straight from the bowl!

Duke has this weird obsession with all of his toys, mostly tennis balls and the famous red ball, and he'll take it wherever he goes. If one of us are in sight then he runs to pick up the ball to show us that he's ready to play whenever we are. The only time he'll drop the ball is in the food dish while he's eating. I guess that's the only way he can keep his eye on the ball and eat at the same time.

Both of them have strange habits, but at least it's entertaining! =)

Personal Pawprints...

V's sister bought me these cute little frame thingies for xmas. You make a pawprint in some kind of plaster thing and display it on one side of the frame, then put a picture of your puppy on the other side....so cute! I've never seen that before. I can't wait to try it!

Mele Kalikimaka!

Fiddling on the computer and made a xmas card with a pic from one of last years photo sessions. Thought I would take them on a Hawaiian vacation for this one. =)

HM...

I figured I'd let the dogs in for a while so they can get some quality kitchen time. I was wrapping presents, so they were allowed to stay for a bit. They always go thru this routine of sniffing everything in sight....twice! Even though they were in the kitchen last night, I guess they still need to make sure nobody new came by. It usually takes them about 10 minutes to really settle down and lay in their beds. Sometimes I'll bribe them to lay down with some chewies. By the time they're done they usually start to fall asleep. They're so high maintenance! =)

In the hot zone...

Duke doesn't look too happy to be in the path of Eddie's hot breath.

Working hard...

Vaccuuming, dusting, wiping, washing, cooking and decorating all day. Hurrying to every location to get things done by a certain time, trying to work faster than the last second. I turn to the backyard and see this....

Funny how things you see can stop everything completely. After that point I just wanted to slow down and be a dog for the day. =)

You think you're so hot...

I bet Duke teases Eddie from up there 'cause he knows Eddie can't get to him. What a show-off!

Just can't win...

I walked into the kitchen last nite and saw their faces just pinned to the glass door. They give you that "C'mon, I know you see us and I know you want to invite us in" look that you just can't resist. Once they see you take one step towards the door the seem to overdose on glee. They start moving side to side along the door to make sure we see how happy they are. When I see that, I just HAVE to go outside and at least pet them....if I don't it's just plain teasing! =P

Most of the time their plan works and I give in to their puppy dog eyes and happy smiles. I crack open the door and that's when they both try to bum rush their way inside. I try to bring them in one at a time to wipe their paws, cause dogs don't really understand that they're the only ones who don't care if they step in their own poop or not. They also don't understand that an invitation to come in doesn't mean that they can hype themselves up and take a running leap into their indoor beds. You can't help but laugh, but at the same time need to teach them that that is wrong.

It usually takes ~10 minutes for them to completely calm down and relax. I still don't know why they have to smell everything in the kitchen when they were just in there the night before! haha Maybe that's their way of making sure there are no boogie monsters around before they start to nap. =)

Early Xmas presents...

I found a great deal on doggie beds at Ikea. I never knew Ikea sold pet stuff. I got these ones for half price during one of their Xmas special sales.

Duke & Eddie didn't know what to think of the new beds when we first gave it to them, but they got used to them pretty fast. They were nice and comfy in no time.
