Fall is finally here! =)

Stranded...

If Duke had a choice of 2 things to take with him on a deserted island, I bet he'd pick these.

His routine...

Same pose, different nite.

Hail, sleet or snow...

Like a gargoyle watching over his church.

Rainy day...

Duke & Eddie stayed in their house all day. They didn't want to risk getting their paws wet. This picture sums up who they are...Eddie just looking around at who knows what and Duke always having a ball in his mouth.

Naptime...

Me & Eddie passed out in the garage while V works on his toys.

Here he goes again...

I think Duke rolls his ball out there on purpose. It's his way of showing the fetching tricks that he taught us.

Always looking for danger...

Or Duke's ball that rolled out of the garage.

Spotless...

Works on getting rid of food better than any dishwasher. The plates come back sparkling!

Waiting for a reply...

Duke's ball rolled out of the garage thru the crack in the door. He'll wait all nite for a response or any sign of return.

Hide-and-seek...

Just him and his ball.

Hint : it's under the stand.

Slides are out of the question, now...

I took Eddie to the vet this morning and they had to run some tests on him to see what really happened to his leg. The took an x-ray, but that didn't give them the whole story. Then they had to sedate him and actually feel around his leg to see if he damaged any ligaments connected to the bones. I picked him up later in the day and found out from the doctor that Eddie tore his ACL! I didn't even know dogs could do that! It will be a pricey surgery, but what can you do?! They say it's a 6-8 week recovery time...6-8 weeks!! We'll have to buy a big enough cage for him to stay in since he won't be able to run around during the recovery. That's going to be tough for Duke.

It's not like I really have a choice, he has to have it in order to walk normal again. Poor Eddie. I just hope he's not in alot of pain. He doesn't show signs of pain, and he still wags his tail when you call him or pet him. At least the doctors gave him some pain killers until they schedule the surgery. Here he is still a little out of it from the anesthesia.

Bum leg...

We took the dogs to the park earlier today to let them play and run around. The did their usual slide ritual, but this time Eddie slipped at the bottom and messed up his hind leg. He won't even put all of his weight on it. He never hurt it this bad before. Looks like someone's going to pay a visit to the doctor in the morning. Poor guy, you can't help but feel bad when you see him limping. Hopefully it's nothing major.
