So many positions, so little time...

Puppies are the masters of finding a comfy spot. It seems like no matter what position they're in, they're cozy and content. Here are the various positions that I have witnessed so far.

That's what they mean...

When they say "puppy dog eyes".

Pretty in pink...

Duke has the pink-iest toenails I've ever seen. Almost like bubblegum nail polish. So cute on a stubby foot.

Did he just do what I think he just did?!

Found this clip of Eddie barking for the first time for us!!

How cool is that that we got it all on tape, too!

The need for speed...

Duke & Eddie love riding in the car. It doesn't matter where they're heading as long as it's fast and they can stick their heads out the window and feel the wind against their fur.

Fast.

Warp speed!

Domo-kun!

When I went to Japan, I found this cute cartoon character called "Domo".
(He is the mascot for one of the Japanese satellite channels. There are series of stop-motion vignettes that are run from time to time and it kind of reminds me of the old skool Winnie the Pooh shows.)

I thought that he was so cute and bought a stuffed souvenier to take home for V. This is the fun we had with him and the boys. Kinda reminds me of a knight taking a picture next to the slain dragon as proof of his bravery. Maybe all those dragons were really sleeping, too!

Dog beach...

In Huntington Beach they have a mile-long section by the cliffs just for dogs, called Dog Beach. It's maintained by a non-profit organization that depends on donations from dog lovers all around to stay open and clean. They actually have cute T's and sweaters to buy as a tax-deductable donation. They appreciate all the help they can get, in any form.

We've been waiting to take Duke & Eddie here since first day we got them. Now that they have all their shots, we could safely take them for a little fun in the sand and surf.

It's a pretty cool spot for dogs to meet and greet fellow K-9's. The place is considered neutral territory since no dog lives there and claims it as their own. Most of the dogs are pretty friendly and don't cause any trouble.

Duke & Eddie were kind of shy when it came to the other dogs greeting them, but they eventually learned how it worked there. They had a blast! They even ran through the water a few times.

Puppy love...

They were 8 weeks old and we fell in love with them the minute we saw them....wouldn't you?!?!

Isn't it the best when you have puppies around? The cold, little noses...those sad eyes...the way they bounce when they run...the way they trip over their own feet...and of course.......the puppy breath! =)

Headrest...

Now you REALLY want a puppy of your own.

Beauty sleep...

The best thing about puppies is their sleeping habits. I found out that it's the prime time to get the closeup pics of them without getting wet nose prints on your lenses.

Do the crime, do the time...

And the funny thing is that Duke kept chewing away right in front of me. I guess at that age you don't know what's right and what's wrong. I couldn't help but laugh at the mess in the backyard, but knew they had to be disciplined. I told him "No!" and gave both of them "time-out" in their pen while I cleaned up the fluff.

It doesn't sound like much of a punishment, and it looks like they didn't think so either.
