The hell otherwise known as bathing...
V gave the dogs a bath on Saturday, since they were gettin' kinda stinky. Can't you just tell they LOVE these days?!

Duke likes to plant his ball somewhere in the kitchen whenever we open the screen door. It's his way to MAKE us throw the ball somewhere. This time I didn't give in. He just sat there for a few minutes and tried to come up with a plan. Either that or he was trying to channel "the force" to get his ball back.
Eddie's on the clock again, making sure the cable workers don't try anything tricky.
Caught catching some rays again. Good thing they both have those coats of fur on to protect their skin!
They were stuck in their house last Friday night when it started to rain. They looked so bummed that I had to let them inside.
When you pick up a ball when Duke's around, he get into a trance. He won't take his eyes off the ball & his his teeth start to chatter when his jaw starts to chomp up & down. He does this so fast that he starts to foam at the corner of his mouth. It always cracks me up cause I get to see his little teeth.
When I was brushing him I noticed that he's not just a redhair...he's a redhair with black highlights!
Duke loves his toys. Even if it's 3 times bigger than normal & can barely fit in his mouth.
Get ready for the winter hair shedding storm. 80% chance of fur clumps and shedding flurries.
Eddie was absent on the day they were teaching that lesson.
Duke has this game that he plays when nobody is around to give him the attention he needs. He takes his ball and will place it right on the edge of the pool and will nudge it little by little until it falls in. Whenever I watch him do it, he always seems shocked that it's in the pool and has to wait for the ball to drift back to him. His concentration is intense and he'll wait all day if he needed to.
Owning a dog can teach you great life lessons.
The ball was probably trying to escape the wrath of the possessive, neurotic, ball-obsessed blonde thing that is always picking it apart with his teeth.
Duke & Eddie decided to swap colors for the evening. (Eddie still figuring out how to sleep on the new bed)
When I rescued Eddie from the other side of the gate, he ran straight for the water bowl.
Normally, when I get home, the dogs have already heard my car pulling up & are waiting by the back door before I can even get there. The other day was different. As I walked up to the sliding door, I only saw one lonely blonde dog.
Eddie was still trying to figure out how to sit in these crazy things. Without walls on the side to keep him in (like their old beds), he was having trouble adjusting.
It was time to send the old stinky beds outside & get some new ones for the inside!
Duke was so proud of the work that he did on that ragged ball. I think he wanted to put it out of it's misery by shredding it to tiny, itty-bitty, bite-sized pieces.
