How do you keep cool on such a hot day?
Stay in the BBQ bar & make funny faces of course!
Eddie was checking out the new shed & showed his approval by flashing his pearly whites.
Like a father looking over his son. On second thought, I realize I'm talking about Duke. So it's more like a hawk looking at his prey.
I've been finding Eddie sleeping on the concrete when I wake up in the morning. I wonder if it gets too warm in his house with all his thick fur & he just needs to lay down on the cold cement to cool off. Or maybe Duke's morning breath is so bad that Eddie has to escape for some fresh air!
Duke kept bugging us to play with him while we were trying to do yardwork, so we figured out a way to keep him busy by putting his ball somwhere special.
But Eddie doesn't care about that! He found his love of swimming thanks to a hot weekend day. He looked like he was enjoying every minute of it & actually completed an entire lap! (Click on the Quicktime logo to load video)
Duke & Eddie have a new accessory for their house, a souvenir from Santa Barbara. Of course I had to buy the dog one, I don't think the boys would have appreciated a cat face hanging above their window. Oh the horror & humiliation!
Thanya came over so Eddie could show off his doggie paddle. They decided to take a few laps together.
This was a far as he would go on his own. He wouldn't even go in for a ball, if you can believe that! But decided to pull him in anyways.
We finally found Eddie's talent!!! After years of searching, we finally figured it out! Even though Eddie's the most kindest, free-spirited dog we know, he didn't really take interest in anything that a normal dog might. But now, V can finally brag about something involving Eddie, which I'm sure every father values the most in life.
Duke was pooped after playing with his favorite tennis ball for a full hour!
This was taken before the horrible crime. They both looked like they were good friends just hanging out & enjoying the cool grass. Little did anyone know that behind Duke's smile was an animal yearning to taking casual playing to a whole new level.
Not really. I don't think this rule applies to Eddie. I believe witnesses have to actually be AWARE of their surroundings.
We think his actions are driven by satisfaction, with a motive of sheer pleasure.
Eddie likes to look at you when he's in full stretch. I guess he's watching you in case you try anything funny.
Even though Duke & Eddie are not allowed on the carpet, they just love to cross the line. They don't think their paws count in that equation if they're not actually standing on them.
What is it?! Why are you looking at me?! Do I have a booger hanging from my nose? I do, don't I! I hate it when Eddie doesn't tell me about those things!
Eddie just LOVES to snoop into anything that we're doing. He's constantly curious & is always smelling the trashcans, our clothes, our hands and everything else that he comes across...even the freshly cut branches in our backyard that fell to the ground. I guess it's his way of figuring out the world and why he's such a thinker.
