Be careful what you say...

Even tho he seems like he's always spaced out & doesn't look like he's listening to every word people say about him, Eddie nose.

For the America's Next Top Model Dog tryouts. The competition will be fierce.

Trick tips...

How to walk 2 dogs when you're by yourself & don't feel like getting tangled up in their leashes. It works out for Duke too, cause this way he won't be too far away from Eddie...all he has to do is look to his left.

B.F.F....

Duke & Eddie are truely Best Friends Forever! When you find one, you'll usually find the other not too far behind.

A boy & his dogs...

One of my favorite pictures from the last time me & V took Duke & Eddie to Dog Beach. Male bonding at it's finest.

Rescue agent...

Duke will save him from the dangers of the deep.

Extreme sports...

We let Duke & Eddie play another one of their favorite "throw-your-body-in-the-air-violently-while-trying-to-catch-a-toy-tied-to-a-string" game. Even though Eddie rarely comes close to catching the toy in the air, he sure can fling himself pretty high off the ground! He finally caught one at the end.

Paparazzi...

Caught in the act of their daily routine of hanging out by the garage door. I decided to stop shooting before Eddie had a chance to throw something at me for invading his privacy.

New morning ritual...

V recently noticed that Duke & Eddie will go crazy, running back n' forth, chasing a single dragonfly every morning when he's out there feeding them. Not sure if it's the same dragonfly each day or if it's a team of them taking turns teasing the dogs. Do you know how hard it is to take a picture of a moving dragonfly?!?! Over the weekend, I got one lucky shot out of 30.

He's so relieved he didn't stay...

Me & Eddie on our way home after the vet visit.

Annual injections...

Duke & Eddie must remember the smell there, because they always want to run away as soon as they step foot into the waiting room. For Eddie's sake, I don't blame him one bit. It's hard to tell a dog that he's not there for another surgery, & just getting his yearly shots.

Sneaking a peek...

Duke looking to see if there's any chance of us letting him into the garage.

What a cute, little castle...

Until Duke pee'd on it! This was during the boys' beach trip with Toby a couple weeks ago. I guess he liked it so much that he had to mark it as "his". Yes, he's a girly pee'er.

Escaping the heat...

By finding the only shade near the garage door. Apparently it was too hot & bright for Duke & Eddie to keep their eyes open.

Basketball buddy picture...

Choose your best friend! They picked each other.

Beach treasure...

Duke found an old, beat-up, deflated basketball left in the sand at Dog Beach. Duke loved every exciting minute of it & you can clearly see it in his eyes. We made him leave it there for the next obsessive-compulsive dog to play with.

Friday nite sunset session...

Me & V took the boys to the beach to play around & enjoy the warm, summer weather. It looks like they liked it a little.
(and of course I had to take my new lens with me to play with!)

Sunday, August 13, 2006

Crossing streams...

Duke & Eddie both like to cross their legs when they relax. I guess it's the most comfortable position for dogs, too!

Nite fun with the hover craft...

The batteries were charged for another session with the boys.

Tennis balls and pool water...

This is what happens when you play with the 2 WAAAYYY too much!

More water is never enough...

After Toby's visit to the beach, we headed home for a nice swim in the pool. It was hard trying to get Toby in, but we did it and he actually swam! A VERY big day for the Tobster. Duke & Eddie were there for support & felt so proud of the big guy.

Getting sand between the paws...

Duke & Eddie enjoying the warm summer day at the beach.

It's easier with your friends...

Amy & Toby came to visit last week, so we headed for the beach to see if we could coax Toby into the water for once. It was a complete success! Toby's paws actually touched the water...and we didn't even have to push him in! At first, he ran away from the waves, but as time went by he slowly got a little more comfortable with the fact that his fur would be wet. One day he'll be there with Duke & Eddie running thru the waves. It was a perfect day for the boys to enjoy the summer sun.

Silly Duke...

I guess you can say he's self sufficient in playing games.

Saturday, August 05, 2006

Attack of the sticky lick...

Eddie's found another victim of his favorite sport of agressive licking.

Poster child...

I found a really cool toy to play with on flickr. This pretty much sums up Duke in a nutshell.

Thursday, August 03, 2006

This was not an "attempt"...

Duke actually pulled off the rescue! Even though he thought about it for a bit, he jumped into action when his buddy's life was on the line. And when I say "buddy", I don't mean what you think I mean. Duke already knows that Eddie can fend for himself when it comes to the water. Eddie just stayed on the sidelines and cheered Duke on in support. He was so proud of his little brother.

Bellyflop or canonball?

Eddie deciding his next move into the water.
